Now accepting registration for our "Accounting for Non-Accountants" course
|
This course is ideal for those indivduals who want to learn fundamental accounting principles whether for career advancement or for their own business. Students will learn the basics of recording business events using accounting and continue to build on those basics to include recording of daily transactions, preparing financial statements and adjustments, reconcilation of bank accounts, preparing payroll entries, handling accounts receivable and payable transactions, and more.
Students will also complete various computerized accounting workshops by using Simply Accounting and QuickBooks. Course materials will include a student version of these programs.
The duration of this course is January 12 to April 6, 2009 on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

This course is designed for experienced Microsoft Office users proficient with earlier versions of the software and who have upgraded or will be upgrading to Microsoft Office 2007.
Migrating to Microsoft Office 2007 introduces students to the new and enhanced features available in four Microsoft Office 2007 system applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. In this course, students learn about the results-oriented interface of Microsoft Office 2007 environment and use the tools available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 2007 to create, finalize and secure professional-looking documents.
This courseware comes with an excellent "Quick Reference Guide" which shows a feature in the first column, how it is activated in Office 2007 and then how it was activated in Office 2003, Office XP and Office 2000.
